I bought a MKV Golf into these guys in Feb/March 2019 having just bought the car with some big issues that I missed at point of sale.
It looked like the costs of repair were going to be astronomical and I legitimately thought I would have to get rid of the car before even getting a chance to drive it properly.
These guys were so, so good. They were sympathetic to my predicament, got it booked in and looked it over on the same day and diagnosed immediately that I would need a replacement gearbox and clutch.
Cost was a factor for me, and they recommended a company I could source a gear box from with a warranty that could deliver to them, and let me source my own replacement oem quality clutch, they then charged me for just the labour to get it all fitted. I was stunned really, as previous garages had never allowed that to be an option for me.
They wished me the best with the car following repair and hoped I would drive it seamlessly for miles to come. It’s still running like a dream nearly a year later after constant use, and shows no cause for concern.
They were so good with me, and really did their best to help – not to mention they knew their stuff. If anything comes up in the future, I will take it to them no doubt.

This place is one of those little gems that are a great find. I was up to visit my parents from Cornwall and ended up with an injector failure in a 1.6 CR TDI engine. These guys sorted it quickly with no fuss at all. If you want to pay for fancy facilities then go to a main dealer. If you want to pay for skilled guys to do a great job then I’d highly recommend this place. Also, they removed the tow hook and stowed it. It’s little touches like this that let you know you’re getting a good service. Five stars – definitely!

I have been extremely impressed and satisfied with my experience of Revolution VW following years of mediocre service from a main dealer (Citygate group).
They are highly professional and really focus on the customer. They completed multiple jobs including suspension, DSG gearbox oil change, cambelt change, MOT and a few other minor jobs. It was all completed within a day and the price was approx 30% cheaper than the quote I had been given by a main dealer.
From my first contact email to them they got back to my very quickly, gave me a really competitive quote, and carried out the work quickly and to a very high standard. This was a pleasant change from 3 other garages I had contacted to do the work who never came back to me despite me chasing them.
Having previously used a main dealer for serving and maintenance I am just sorry that I didn’t find Revolution VW sooner. I’ll certainly be using them again and have already recommended them to other friends who drive VWs and Audis.

I had a VW service plan on my car and knew that I needed to replace the brake discs and pads all round as part of my final service so I had a quote from Chalfont Citygate VW for the additional works which was pretty painful to say the least! I discussed this price with a friend who introduced me to Revolution VW and I got them to price the same work using genuine VW parts and was delighted with the price saving.
I had my final VW service at Citygate and then took my car to Revolution VW for the new brakes and they were very helpful and the quality of work was excellent, as was the price. Based on that experience I did not renew my service plan with VW but have had my car serviced and MOT’d by Revolution VW ever since and can wholeheartedly recommend them. Their quality of service, knowledge, flexibility, pricing and most importantly for me honesty really is all you could want from a garage. I have recommended them to all of my friends and family.

Having had four VWs in slow succession, I have developed a marked aversion to the VW main dealerships when it comes to having my car serviced. They always manage to pump up the bill to a level beyond the dreams of avarice.
So I was delighted when Steve and his new company Revolution VW Specialists were recommended to me. He really has started a revolution. When he serviced my Golf, his price was more than fair, without any of the “extras” that the VW stealerships always seem to add to the bill. He did point out that some work would be needed in the future (the car had done 130,000 miles, so that was no great surprise) but far from pressuring me to have it done now, he told me that it needn’t be done for a few thousand miles, yet. He even collected the car and returned it, vacuumed, at no extra charge!
I understand that Steve is a VW Master Technician, so there is no doubting his competence. I would wholeheartedly recommend his company to any VW owner who values old-fashioned courtesy, sensible charges and sound advice.

I have used Revolution a number of times and cannot speak highly enough of them. They are both very skilled specialists.
What I particularly like is their honesty, even when a manufacturers dealer suggested certain work needs doing Michael advised that the work wasn’t necessary and to just keep and eye on it, why would anyone go anywhere else, first class service at an affordable price from a very friendly team.

My pride and joy is my Peugeot 205 GTi – it only comes out on sunny weekends! Recently it developed a few electrical faults – and having been in this situation before, when you tell a mechanic you’ve got an old French car with an electrical fault, you can see their eyes light up with pound signs. Having taken it to a Peugeot specialist last time with a few small issues and leaving with an £1800 bill, I didn’t want a repeat performance.

I’ve been taking my car to Michael for over 10 years after he was recommended to me by a friend.
